Use a componentized build system to automatically port Java™ projects with native extensions on heterogeneous UNIX® platforms. Today, many large-scale Java systems running on UNIX-like platforms require third-party native library support, or you have to develop your own native components. Many utilities and system calls on these platforms do not have corresponding Java wrappers.
